my speech : singing why is it good for you and how?

Singing, why is it good for you and how?💖

I went to the movies the other day to watch mama mia 2
It got me thinking about the benefits of singing at old age but old age is a really long way off for me so I  decided to go with singing why is it good for you and how?

Singing makes you happy.
Singing has been shown to release endorphins in the brain.
An endorphin is a chemical that works by blocking cells responsible for pain and certain emotions. When you are grumpy you can't help but smile while you are singing.

Singing also relieves stress.
When you sing you stimulate the vagus nerve that runs down the back of the sinus and throat. When this nerve is stimulated it relaxes the body, naturally relieving the tension that stress can cause. When people are stressed they often don’t think about listen to music or singing . also when people are stressed sometimes they find it harder to get things done. But singing or listening to music can reduce stress levels so people can achieve more.

Lastly singing is good for your health.
If you can add some dance moves to your singing you can further increase endorphins and elevate your heart rate. According to the research done at the university of frankfurt singing boosts the immune system. The study included testing Professional choir members blood before and after an hour long singing rehearsal. The researchers noticed most of the amount of proteins in the immune system that function as antibodies, were higher immediately after the rehearsal. That means that they are less likely to catch an illness such as colds or the flu.

What i'm trying to say is singing is great for you and we should sing more often because What is life without music?

Letter to Jacinda Ardern

To the right Hon. Jacinda Ardern

Did you Know that one plastic bag uses the same amount as a car driving 115 metres? It is my belief that every single plastic bag in New Zealand should be banned .

Firstly, New Zealand is losing money because tourists come to New Zealand to see our clean and green nature but it isn’t clean and green. We really don't want to lose money because we need it to buy food.

Secondly, plastic has links to cancer and lots of people die from cancer.

Lastly, when we litter our rubbish goes down the drain and into the sea, killing our sea life. When we go fishing our fish will have little pieces of plastic in their bodies, so when we eat fish we will probably  get sick.

Therefore, I absolutely believe that we should ban plastic bags should be banned from New Zealand.

Yours sincerely,

Amy Charlotte Wallace.
